The following are parts of the application process necessary for admission consideration:
- Application Form (Please choose one of the three application form possibilities below)
Possibility 1: Online Application It is possible to apply for admission to undergraduate studies using an online application. This has been designed with the aim of making our application process as easy and convenient as possible. Applications submitted electronically receive the same consideration as applications submitted on paper. You will find a link to the online application on the bottom of this page.
Possibility 2: Paper Application
Possibility 3: Common Application You can submit the application online or download a paper version. Please note students who apply through common app will not have to write an additional essay!
- Educational History Form (EHF) As our office processes applications from dozens of countries with varying school requirements, Jacobs Admissions requires the Educational History Form to clarify school type and duration. All applicants are therefore required to fill out the EHF as seen in the example, with schools listed chronologically! this form is embedded in the CommonApp (which features the blank form and an example form). Alternatively, you can also retrieve these forms here: Blank EHF | EHF Example Please complete the Educational History Form and email it back to our office in a form most convenient for you (e.g. PDF, Screenshot, Word Document).
- Essay An essay written in English, answering question number 28 of our application, must be sent along with your application.
- Teacher Recommendation & Guidance Counselor/School Official Recommendation
We require one personal recommendation from a teacher or faculty member and one personal recommendation from a school or university official (counselor, principal, head of school, dean of students, department, head or faculty advisor).
- School and/or University Transcript

- SAT or ACT
No application will be reviewed for admission until we receive the scores for the Scholastic Assessment Test (or ACT). The SAT (or ACT) does not replace an English language proficiency test.
- English Language Proficiency Test
TOEFL (Paper based: minimum score of 575, or internet based: 90) or an equivalent test is required for admission if English is not your first language.
- Deadline Review
In order to be evaluated, please pay attention to our deadlines listed above!
